Shared TALK Website

Hi,

I found this interesting website, that I personally used a month ago, and it was very helpful to practise my listening, writing and speaking skills.

You may also meet people from all over the world, besides you can also watch them live with a webcam.

Conditions:

1. INTERACTION: You can interact with people from all over the world in many languages, in real time.

2. Authentic Audience: You can find authentic audience here because there are many people at anytime.

3. Meningful activities- students: There are not too many activities rather than, listening, speaking, and writing. However, they can be meaningful, since the conversations may be in some cases.

4. Exposure to varieties of language: You are exposed to many languages, due to people is from all over the world, although it is up to you if you want to talk with them.

5. Right amount of time & feedback: The amount of time depends on the time you want to spend talking or writing with someone else but there is feedback many times (mostly while you are talking)

6. Motivation: It is very motivating, only if you want to practice your English speaking or if you want to meet someone else.

7. Student - centered: No, this website is not focus on students.

8. Teacher support: If you want to use it for your classes. You should support your students.

9. Multimodality: There are many ways to express yourself, for instance, you can use the video camera and make some gestures, you can also can talk, and write.

10. Integrate the skills: Yes as I said, the skills are integrated.

11. Clear Objective: Actually there is no clear objective because you can talk about everything.
